 | The impressive gorge of Aradena is located in the region of Sfakia. It starts from the White Mountains and ends at the sea at Marmara, a small beach near Loutro on the south coast. Some years ago the walk was considered to be difficult because of a passage that had to be negotiated with a rope. A solid metal ladder was attached to the rock at this spot and made the passage much easier. |
The walk through this gorge is easier going up towards the mountains than going down towards
the sea.
